Each year, Metalac invests around one million euros in the development of sports clubs in Gornji Milanovac, support for increased natality, and schooling of its employees’ children. We play fair, we care about the local community, and we expect the same of you as the members of the Football Club Metalac, said the president of the company, Dragoljub Vukadinovic, in his welcome address to the football team and experts of the Football Club Metalac during their first visit to the company which is the general sponsor of the Club and its greatest fan with more than 2,000 employees.
The youngest team in the Serbian Super League, led by its entire expert staff, visited Metalac in order to acquaint themselves with the business, manufacturing processes and, most of all, the employees in the company’s facilities.

He also reminded the visitors about the history of the Football Club Metalac, which was founded in 1961 as FC Radnik, while the last 55 years of its existence it has played matches using the name Metalac – the name of the company that has been the main pillar of support for the survival and development of the club for nearly its entire existence. In 2012, the Company made a crowning achievement in this support by building a modern football stadium, constructed in accordance with international standards.
Today, Football Club Metalac has around 250 members, from preschoolers to youth, while the team of seniors is the youngest team in the Serbian Super League. From the point of view of Metalac and Gornji Milanovac, the ability of these young people to compete among the most elite football clubs is praiseworthy. Football Club Metalac is now in the middle of the ranking list, which has 20 clubs this year. In addition, after the yesterday’s victory over Macva in Sabac, FC Metalac has entered the 1/8 finals of the Serbian Cup, and is now among the 16 best clubs in Serbia.
Today, before the young footballers went to the production facilities, sports director Prof. Dr. Bojan Leontijevic and the head of the expert staff Zarko Lazetic, gave a fan scarf and a soccer ball to Radmila Trifunovic, the acting general director. After that, the players gave the same gifts to several workers at the production lines.
The visit was equally exciting and unusual for both the football players and the workers of Metalac. They are all a part of a tradition of 60 years, with all of them striving for the same goal – a super league society in their respective fields.
