On April 4, celebrating its 60th anniversary, Metalac organized an event in Gornji Milanovac for more than 400 of its partners from Serbia, the region and the world. During the ceremonial academy, Statuettes “For the Years of Loyalty” were presented to individuals, while after that certificates of the same name were presented to companies.
“Years of prosperity are ahead of Metalac”, said the president of the company, Dragoljub Vukadinovic. “There only a few municipalities in Serbia that can be proud of such a company and such an entrepreneurial spirit as Metalac”, said the president of the municipality, Dejan Kovacevic.
On April 5, the Company organized a big celebration for 1,500 workers at three locations.

We have once again confirmed our loyalty to our key principles and our deep conviction that true prosperity and sustainable development are not possibly without preservation of the human character.
The president of the Metalac Group, Dragoljub Vukadinovic, who has led the company for three decades, pointed out today that Metalac is one of the largest companies in Serbia, with 2,200 workers and the revenue of around 120 million euros. Its profit satisfies both the employees and the shareholders, and at the same time allows the company to continuously invest in its modernization.
“People are the secret of our success, the employees of Metalac, who love this company and are dedicated to their work. We have never succumbed to divisions and we have always relied on our own strength. Ahead of us are years of easy, uphill walking. We will continue to invest in modernization and the development of existing programs. After the completion of the highway, it will be possible to transform many initiatives from our foreign partners into joint ventures”, Vukadinovic said at the 60th anniversary of Metalac.
During the formal academy organized in the Cultural Center in downtown Gornji Milanovac, the most deserving individuals and partners were given the Statuettes and Certificates “For the Years of Loyalty”. The highest company award was given to: businessman Mladen Milanovic from Bosnia and Herzegovina; owner of Unitehna Banja Luka, Stojan Bilbija; a partner from France, Serge Tumeo; assistant director of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Vidosava Dzagic; a member of Metalac management, Prof. Dr. Goran Pitic, a partner from Slovenia, Marijana Ovcar; and a partner from Russia, Aleksey Vladimirovich Krasovskiy.
– There are only a few municipalities in Serbia with such an entrepreneurial spirit in the people who have created, and who are continuing to create this company and similar companies in Gornji Milanovac, said Dejan Kovacevic, the president of the municipality of Gornji Milanovac, in his congratulation speech.
Immediately after the academy, during the formal lunch, Certificates “For the Years of Loyalty” were delivered to deserving partners for their long-term cooperation and achieved successes in the last decade. Among them were the following companies: Coca Cola HBC Serbia, Delhaize Serbia, HBIS Group Serbia, Iron&Steel – Smederevo, Marex Trade from the Czech Republic, Muurla Design Marketing Oy from Finland, Grand Prom Belgrade, DTL Belgrade, Profas Celje, Kukunes Struga, Dunav Insurance, Gorenje, Alfa Vranje…
As a part of two-day activities celebrating the anniversary, Metalac organized an anniversary dinner for 1,500 of its employees on April 5. During the dinner, 38 of them received the Statuette “For the Years of Loyalty” from the general director, Aleksandar Markovic, and the president, Dragoljub Vukadinovic.
The main surprise of the evening, outside the protocol, was organized by colleagues of the company’s president, the directors of Metalac’s companies and sectors, who as a message of sincere and great gratitude on behalf of 2,200 wokers gave a present – an artistic painting – to Mr. Dragoljub Vukadinovic, the leader of the company during the last 30 years. The painting was made by academic painter Veljko Djurdjevic.
