Prof. Dr. Goran Pitic

Prof. Dr. Goran Pitic is a full professor of economics and an associate MOC professor at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, Harvard Business School, USA. He is the president of the FEFA Council. He has been a member of the Managing Board of Metalac Holding from Gornji Milanovac since 2008.

He was the president of the Managing Board of the Societe Generale Serbia bank from 2005 to 2019. Between October 2000 and March 2004 he was the Minister for Foreign Economic Relations in the first democratic government of the Republic of Serbia.

Prof. Dr. Pitić received his doctorate at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade . He acquired his master’s degree at two faculties – the Faculty of Economics of the Belgrade University and the Department of Economics of the University of Toronto. He specialized in economics (postgraduate studies in Quantitative Developmental Economics) at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom in the academic year 1991/1992. He also studied at the London School of Economics and participated in numerous professional programs at universities in Europe and USA, including professional advancement at institutes in the field of financial markets.

Mr. Pitic is a member of the Serbian Association of Managers and a member of the Presidency of the Association of Serbian Economists and the Association of Corporate Directors. He was the president of the Managing Board of the Association of Serbian Banks in 2014-2018, the president of the Association for Fair Competition of the National Alliance for Local Economic Development in 2016-2019, and a member of the Managing Board of the Council of Foreign Investors. Since 2019 he has been a member of Managing Board of the Credit Agricole bank. He was also a member of the National Council for Science and Technological Development, a member of the Managing Board of the Innovation Fund, and a member of the Managing Board of Belgrade Music Festival (BEMUS).

Prof. Dr. Pitic speaks three foreign languages: English, French and Spanish.
