Prof. dr Dragan Lončar

Prof. Dr. Dragan Loncar was born in Belgrade in 1978.

He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in 2001. In the same year, he was selected as the best student of the generation at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade by the Rectorate of the Belgrade University. As one of the scholars of the Centenary Scholarship Fund, he completed his master’s studies in management in 2003 at the University of Cambridge (Judge Business School) in the United Kingdom. He received his doctorate in 2007 from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade. In 2009, as a scholar of the Fulbright Foundation, he completed his postdoctoral research studies in financial management at the University of Chicago (Booth Business School). He has held a prestigious CFA license in finance since 2013.

Prof. Dr. Dragan Loncar is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade at the following courses: Strategic Management, Management of Projects, Risk Management, Strategy, Management in a Global Context, and Information Management Systems at undergraduate studies (Serbian language program and the LSE program); Business Strategy, Business Analysis & Business Plan, and IT Project Management at master’s studies; and Methodology of Scientific Research at the doctoral studies. He has been the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics during four terms in 2012-2024.

Specific areas of expertise: strategic management, project management, corporate finance and protection of competition. He has been engaged as a consultant on projects implemented by many domestic and foreign companies and international institutions (World Bank, EBRD, UNDP, GIZ, ACDI/VOCA).

He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Metalac Group, a member of the Managing Board and the Audit Committee of Banca Intesa, the president of the Audit Committee of Wiener Städtische and a member of the Advisory Board for Sustainable Development of Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company.

Member of several domestic and foreign academic and professional organizations (Association of Serbian Economists, US Academy of Management, CFA Institute, European Association of Competition Economists, Fulbright Alumni).
